Far more than simply a painter or a plasterer, Luigi Carimati is a Master Decorator – an artisan bringing the stunning traditional techniques of Stucco Veneziano (Venetian plaster) to modern Australian architecture.
At an early age, Luigi began learning the art of decorative finishes from his father, also a master decorator, working in Como, Northern Italy. After moving to Perth in 1997, Luigi perfected the classic techniques for Australian conditions and began importing materials from Italy.
With traditional pride in his work and a passion for the art of Venetian Stucco, Luigi strives for excellence on every commission.
His superb craftsmanship and individual decorative flair has seen demand for his work consistently grow. With media interviews, articles in newspapers and a recent profile in InSite Magazine, Western Australians are now becoming aware of this unique art.
